Weekend Repairs Planned for the SB I-81 George N. Wade Bridge

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that weekend repairs are planned on the southbound Interstate 81 (George N. Wade) Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between Dauphin and Cumberland counties.

Weather permitting, steel repairs will be performed on the southbound I-81 bridge approaching the Enola/Marysville/11/15 off-ramp from 9:00 PM Friday, July 18, to 6:00 AM Sunday, July 20.

A right lane restriction will be in place on the bridge. Additionally, the ramps from Front Street to southbound I-81 will be placed in a stop condition due to the right lane closure.

The middle and left lanes and the Enola/Marysville ramp will remain open.

This work may cause delays. Motorists should consider taking alternate routes.

JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA, is performing the work under the bridge maintenance contract.
