Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an online plans display regarding the Route 114 (Main Street) bridge rehabilitation project. This project is located over a mill race tributary to Yellow Breeches Creek in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County. The purpose of this project is to provide continued safe and efficient crossing of Route 114 over the mill race.
The project consists of cleaning and painting the existing steel superstructure and performing repairs to the substructure units. New approach pavement overlays and guide rail will be included in the project. The lane widths on Route 114 will match existing lane widths. The bridge will be closed for approximately 3 months to all traffic during construction. The proposed detour route will use Lisburn Road (Route 2017), Forge Road / Old Forge Road (Route 2019 / Route 4020), and Old Stage Road (Route 4025).
The project is currently in design and construction work is expected to take place in the 2028 construction season.
The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and solicit public input, questions, or concerns regarding the project.
A digital version of the project plans and information will be available to view online, with public comments accepted through September 19, 2025.

The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project. It is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project.
