Crack Sealing Project to Begin in Lancaster County

Harrisburg, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a crack sealing project on multiple routes in Lancaster County is scheduled to begin next week.

This project consists of crack sealing on Routes 23, 72, 222, 272, 324, 372, 441, 462, 741, 999 and various other routes throughout the county.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 23, on Route 462 west of Lancaster City.

Work on Routes 741, 462, 741, 222 and 999 will be performed nightly from approximately 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Work on other various other routes will be performed during daytime hours.

There will be rolling lane closures. Motorists should drive with caution and be alert for construction vehicles and workers.

Work is expected to be completed by December 15, 2025.

Annseal of PA. Inc., of Little Meadows, PA, is the contractor on this $ 1,793,947 project.

.Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
