Bridge on Route 147 (Market Street) in Millersburg, Dauphin County, is Open to Traffic

Bridge was closed for replacement; the detour lifted

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the bridge on Route 147 (Market Street) in Millersburg Borough and Upper Paxton Township, Dauphin County, is open to traffic. The bridge, which spans Shippens Run between Bowman Street and Boyd Street, was closed in May for replacement.

A detour in place for the closure has been lifted.

Farhat Excavation, LLC, of Duncannon, PA, is the contractor on this $3,589,657 project.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
