Traffic restrictions next week on Route 30; the following two weeks on Centerville Road
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that nighttime traffic restrictions will be in effect during work planned over the next several weeks at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.
There will be lane restrictions in both directions of Route 30 from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the nights of Wednesday February 22, and Thursday, February 23, so the contractor can backfill the median pier and remove shoring at the Centerville Road bridge.
From Monday, February 27, through Thursday, March 9, the contractor will place pipe on Centerville Road between Estelle Drive and the westbound Route 30 ramp to Centerville Road.
This work will be performed nightly from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Centerville Road will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers providing traffic control.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This work is weather permitting.
This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction.
