​ Bridge Replacement Project to Begin on Crossroads Avenue (Route 2079) in Felton Borough, York County

Road to be detoured May 23

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project is set to begin on Crossroads Avenue (Route 2079) in Felton Borough, York County. The bridge spans a tributary to the North Branch of Muddy Creek at Seitz Avenue, just south of Rippling Run Road (Route 2060) in the borough. 

Weather permitting, the bridge is scheduled to close Tuesday, May 23. A detour will be in place using Church Road (Route 2052), Route 24, and Rippling Run Road (Route 2060). Seitz Avenue will be closed at Crossroads Avenue.

Work is expected to be completed by August 24, 2023. 

JVI Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $783,668 project.
