King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pavement marking installation is planned on Route 291 (2nd Street) in the City of Chester, Delaware County, under a $7.5 million project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, September 23, through Monday, September 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on Route 291 (2nd Street) at the intersection with Reaney Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather depkrysjohnso@pa.govendent.
Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, Pennsylvania, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
