Plymouth Road North to Close This Evening Due to Sinkhole in Plymouth Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that northbound Plymouth Road will close this evening between Butler Pike and Rittenhouse Square in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, due to a sinkhole.

During the closure, Plymouth Road motorists are directed to use Flourtown Road, Joshua Road, and Germantown Pike. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

Northbound Plymouth Road will remain closed until PennDOT engineers can further assess the extent of the damage and develop a plan to fully repair and safely reopen the highway.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because slowdowns will occur. All activities are weather dependent.
