King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe maintenance will close eastbound Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County, beginning Thursday, September 18.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Thursday, September 18 through Thursday, October 9, eastbound Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be closed and detoured 24/7 through the Narcissa Road Intersection. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Penllyn Blue Pike, Morris Road, Butler Pike. Trucks wills be directed to use U.S. 202, Route 63 (Welsh Road), Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike).
Route 73 (Skippack Pike) westbound will remain open to traffic. Local access will be maintained at all times.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Texas Eastern Transmission will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
