Temporary Barrier Installation Continues at Night Next Week on Interstate 95 South in Northeast Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that temporary construction barrier installation will continue at night next week on southbound I-95 under a $355.3 million project to reconstruct and improve northbound I-95 between Wheatsheaf Lane and Margaret Street, replace three bridges, and rehabilitate two ramps at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in Northeast Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Southbound I-95 motorists are advised to anticipate significant traffic congestion approaching and through the work zone and to allow extra time when traveling through the area or consider using an alternate route because significant backups and delays will occur.
