Resurfacing Operations Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways in Bucks, Delaware Counties

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Bucks and Delaware counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Bucks County

  • Monday, April 8, through early May, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures with flagging are scheduled on Butler Avenue between County Line Road and New Britain Road in New Britain and Doylestown townships and Chalfont Borough for milling and paving.

Delaware County

  • Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Concord Road between Bethel Road and U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) in Aston, Concord, Chester, and Bethel townships for utility adjustments.
  • Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Concord Road between Bethel Road and U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) in Aston, Concord, Chester, and Bethel townships for milling and paving.
  • Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue) between 9th Street and Ridge Boulevard in Parkside and Brookhaven boroughs and City of Chester for utility adjustments, milling and paving.
  • Tuesday, April 2, through Friday, April 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue) between 9th Street and Ridge Boulevard in Parkside and Brookhaven boroughs and City of Chester for milling and paving.
  • Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Engle Street between 9th Street and Concord Road in Chester Township for milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
