Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a two-year roadway improvement project resumes on Water Street (Route 414), Blockhouse Road (Route 2005), and Williamson Road (Route 2007) in Liberty Borough and Liberty Township, Tioga County. The project had been shut down over the winter season.
The week of Monday, June 2, 2025, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, will be working on Route 414 in Liberty Borough between Decoursey Road and Blockhouse Road to replace a 54-inch pipe. Motorists will experience single lane conditions controlled by stop signs.
Motorists should be alert, expect delays in travel and drive with caution.
Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor for this two-year $6.2 million roadway improvement project. Work on this project includes drainage work on Route 414 (High Street/Water Street) and Blockhouse Road, roadway reconstruction, retaining wall, sidewalks, curbing, and resurfacing of 1.7 miles of Williamson Road. Work is expected to be complete in November of 2025, weather permitting.
