MONTOURSVILLE, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project is set to begin Next Week on Quarry Road (Route 3010) in Beaver Township, Snyder County.
Starting Monday, June 16, 2025, Quarry Road will be closed between Orval Road (T-475) and Paxtonville Road (Route 3008), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) bridge crew begins work on the bridge a tributary to Middle Creek. Work on the project includes removal the existing structure, installation of a box culvert, paving, line painting, and guide rail upgrade.
A detour using Sassafras, Chestnut, and South Center Streets in Beavertown Borough, Route 522, and Paxtonville Road will be in place for the duration of the project. Motorists should be alert, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in August 2025, weather permitting.
