Bridge Flushing Planned Next Week on Route 147 Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of lane restrictions next week on Route 147 in both directions in Point, West Chillisquaque, and Turbot townships, Northumberland County, for bridge flushing.

The week of Monday, May 19, 2025, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be performing bridge flushing on Route 147 between the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) River Bridge in Point Township and the Interstate 80 interchange in Turbot Township. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed.

Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions when work is being performed. Work on this project will be performed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
