Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the traffic pattern on Route 1010 (Hubler Ridge Road) beneath the Interstate 80 overpass in Marion Township, Centre County, will change on Wednesday, September 13. The work is part of a larger project to replace four I-80 bridges.
Starting Wednesday, the contractor will shift from working in the northbound lane to the southbound lane. While the shift is taking place, flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control, and drivers should expect delays and build extra travel time into their schedules. Once the shift is complete, the temporary traffic signals that became active at the end of August will continue providing traffic control.
Overall work on this project consists of concrete and asphalt paving on Interstate 80, Hubler Ridge, and Sand Ridge roads, milling and paving, drainage improvements, guide rail installation, pavement marking, and miscellaneous construction. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA, is the contractor for this $22 million project that will continue through the 2026 construction season.
