Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that its McKean County Maintenance Organization will close a portion of Route 46 in Foster Township on Wednesday, August 20, for a pipe replacement project. Replacing the 54-inch pipe located approximately 1.25 miles north of the intersection with Route 646 will prevent uncontrolled water flow from damaging the pavement and extend the service life of the road.
While the road is closed, traffic will follow a detour using Route 646 and Route 246 around the closure. In the event of rain on August 20, PennDOT will start the work on Thursday, August 21. It expects to complete this work in one or two days, but all schedules are weather-dependent.
