Daytime Closure of Route 2004 Continues Through End of Week

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said that its Elk County Maintenance Organization will continue to close Route 2004 (Curtis Wright Road) during daylight hours through the remainder of this week as it works to replace a trio of 42-inch pipes to help prepare the road for future resurfacing projects.

While the road is closed, traffic will follow Route 555 to Route 120 in Cameron County, and Route 2001 (Wykoff Run Road) around the closure. Department forces will complete all work by Friday, August 8, weather permitting.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
