Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 would like to inform motorists that centerline joint repair work will begin next week in Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties, weather and operational dependent.
Weekday single-lane restrictions between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM will begin April 3 and continue through late May, as needed, in the following locations.
Greene County:

Northbound and southbound Interstate 79 between Perry Township and Whitley Township
Additionally, weeknight single-lane restrictions between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM will begin April 3 and continue through late May, as needed in the following locations.
Washington County:

Northbound and southbound Interstate 79 between the Allegheny County line and Canonsburg exit in Cecil Township
Westmoreland County:

Westbound and eastbound Interstate 70 between Route 51 in Rostraver Township and Route 31 in South Huntington Township
The restrictions will be in place to allow crews to perform milling, paving, diamond grinding, and raised pavement marker replacement work.
Crews from Eurovia, LLC will be performing the work.
This work is part of a $6.8 million project for milling, paving, diamond grinding, sealing joints, and installing raised pavement markers on Interstate 70 and Interstate 79 in various municipalities throughout Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. The project is anticipated to be complete in May of 2023.
