Virtual Public Plans Display Available for Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) Project in Greene County

Meeting materials and a comment form are now available online

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to participate in a Virtual Plans Display for the Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) project in Waynesburg Borough, Greene County.

The purpose of this Virtual Plans Display is to provide information on the Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) project covering the improvements, impacts, traffic control, and anticipated schedule.

The project consists of widening the pavement to accommodate a two-way center left turn lane from Buchanan Avenue to Ely Avenue. Additional work will include drainage improvements, placement of new concrete curb, and roadway resurfacing.

To participate in the Virtual Plans Display visit PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You and select Route 18 Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane). The materials will be on the website for the duration of the project. The public comment period is August 28 through September 11.
