Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing scheduled roadway construction on Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway) between Locust Street in Franklin Township and Richhill Street in Waynesburg Borough, Greene County that began Friday, June 13 has been extended until early October.
Commercial vehicles are still restricted to no more than 9.5 feet wide, and speed will be limited to 25 mph through the work zone. Restrictions are anticipated to remain in place until early October.
Advanced Builders, Inc. will be replacing an existing 72-inch steel corrugated pipe culvert with a precast concrete box culvert at the Route 21 and Toll Gate Run Road intersection – a $3.37 million infrastructure investment.
Please maintain a safe distance between commercial vehicles to navigate through the temporary roadway. Be alert to new traffic patterns and drive more slowly.
