Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a ramp closure and single-lane restrictions on Interstate 70 in Rostraver Township and North Belle Vernon Borough, Westmoreland County.
Ramp Closure:
The eastbound on-ramp from Route 906 to I-70 will be closed beginning Friday, September 19 at 6:00 PM through Monday, September 22 at 6:00 AM
- Detour
- Motorists travelling north Route 906 continue under I-70, use the westbound on-ramp, travel across I-70 bridge, and take exit 40 (Charleroi / Allenport) to south Route 88 towards Allenport and renter eastbound I-70.
- Motorists travelling south Route 906 enter westbound I-70 before the eastbound on-ramp and will follow the same detour.
Single-lane Restrictions:
Eastbound I-70 between exit 41 (Belle Vernon / Monessen) to exit 43 (Donora / Fayette City) from Friday, September 19 at 6:00 PM through Monday, September 22 at 6:00 AM
Motorists should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.
Golden Triangle Construction Company will be conducting concrete pavement patching, drainage repair, and barrier replacement as part of a larger pavement preservation project on I-70 from the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway to Route 906 (Belle Vernon Monessen Road/Main Street).
With an infrastructure investment of $9.69 million, work is expected to continue through late fall, pending weather and operational conditions.
