Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing overnight ramp closures on eastbound (inbound) I-376 (Parkway West) in Robinson and Collier townships, Allegheny County will begin Tuesday night, September 2 weather permitting.
The ramp that carries eastbound I-376 to northbound I-79 (Exit 64A) will close for milling and resurfacing and pavement marking installation work according to the following schedule:
Ramp Closures, September 2-7
· 6 PM to 5 AM Tuesday through Thursday, each night
· 6 PM to 7 AM Friday and Saturday, each night
Ramp Closures, September 8-14
· 6 PM to 5 AM Monday through Thursday, each night
· 6 PM to 7 AM Friday and Saturday, each night
Ramp Closures, September 15-17
· 6 PM to 5 AM Monday through Wednesday, each night
Traffic will be detoured as work occurs.
Eastbound I-376 ramp to northbound I-79
· From eastbound I-376, take the southbound I-79/Washington (Exit 64A) exit
· Take the Carnegie (Exit 57) exit
· Turn left onto West Main Street
· Take the on-ramp to northbound I-79 toward Erie
· End detour
As part of this work, motorists will be driving on milled roadway surfaces until paving work occurs as the project progresses.
The ramp work is part of the $12.6 million project on the Parkway West located between the Ridge Road (Exit 61) and I-79 (Exit 64A) interchanges in Robinson and Collier townships. Additionally, milling and paving on I-376, ramp preservation work, overhead sign structure repairs, drainage improvements, guide rail updates, and sign and pavement marking installation work will occur in 2025. Restrictions include the long-term closure of Boyce Road, ramp closures, overnight single-lane restrictions, and four weekend-long single-lane closures. The majority of the project is anticipated to be completed in late 2025, however, punch list work is expected to continue through January of 2026.
