Route 8 Euclid Bridge Repairs Begin July 7 in Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the upcoming closure of Route 8/Euclid Bridge in Clay Township, Butler County.

July 7 through August 22, there will be a full bridge replacement of Euclid Bridge necessitating a detour. The closure will be between Route 8 and Webb Road.  To detour from the western side of the bridge turn right onto Route 8 (north) and travel 3.3 miles; make a right onto Halston Road (Route 1010).  Travel east on Halston Road for 6.2 miles then turn right onto Route 308 south.  Travel Route 308 south for .4 mile and then turn right onto Route 138/Euclid Road.  Travel 4 miles on Route 138 to the eastern side of the closure.  Those travelling from the eastern side of the closure will reverse the westbound detour route. 

Contractor, A. Merante Contracting Inc. of Pittsburgh will be completing this $772,784 project anticipated to be complete by mid-October.
