King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is planned on several state highways in Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, October 6, through Friday, October 11, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) between the Delaware State line and Oakland Road in Concord and Chadds Ford townships, Delaware County, for milling and paving.
- Monday, October 7, through Friday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Joshua Road at the Germantown Pike Intersection in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, for milling and paving.
- Beginning 7:00 AM Monday, October 14, through 4:00 PM Friday, October 18, a lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Henry Avenue between U.S. 13 (Hunting Park Avenue) and Roberts Avenue in Philadelphia for bridge deck sealing.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
