King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Beginning tomorrow, November 3, motorists are advised of the following daytime and nighttime travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Friday, November 3, and Sunday, November 5, through Tuesday, November 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for paving;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Harmonyville Road between two Harmonyville Road bridges over Pine Creek (Bridge key 47319 and Bridge key 42830) in Warwick Township for milling; and
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Harmonyville Road between the Berks County line and Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) in Warwick Township for milling.
Delaware County
- Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM and Monday, November 6, through Friday November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Cheyney Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Creek Road in Thornbury and Concord townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Flower Street/Edwards Street between 7th Street and the end of Edwards Road in the City of Chester for milling and base repair;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Road between the Delaware State line and Baker Street in Trainer Borough and Lower Chichester Township for paving;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Thornton Road between Glen Mills Road and Cheyney Road in Thornbury Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Thornton Road between Concord Road and Glen Mills Road in Thornbury and Concord townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between 15th Street and Bethel Road in City of Chester for milling and base repair; and
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 13/Route 291 (2nd Street) between Penn Street and the Route 291 Bridge over Chester Creek in City of Chester for milling and base repair.
Montgomery County
- Friday, November 3, and Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Berks Road/Potshop Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Township Line Road in Worcester Township and Burnside Avenue between the East Norriton Township line and Main Street in West Norriton Township for paving; and
- Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Upper Ridge Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and the Bucks County line in Green Lane Borough and Marlborough Township for milling and paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
