King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge repair and core boring operations are scheduled this weekend and next week on southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Saturday, October 7, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a double lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 approaching the Academy Road Interchange (Exit 32) for emergency bridge repair;
- Monday, October 9, through Friday, October 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Girard Avenue (Exit 23) and I-676 (Exit 22) interchanges for core borings; and
- Tuesday, October 10, and Wednesday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a double lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 approaching the Academy Road Interchange (Exit 32) for emergency bridge repair.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area. The schedule is weather dependent.
