King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on Interstate 95, Interstate 76, and other state highways in Philadelphia, Chester, and Montgomery counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Philadelphia
- Monday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on the Betsy Ross Bridge ramp to northbound I-95 for bridge inspection;
- Tuesday, May 23, and Wednesday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on the Aramingo Avenue ramp to northbound I-95 for bridge inspection; and
- Thursday, May 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Bartram Avenue/Essington Avenue Interchange for bridge inspection.
Chester County
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Route 340 (Kings Highway) and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in West Brandywine, Wallace, and West Nantmeal townships for shoulder cutting.
Montgomery County
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Main Street) between Walnut Street and Game Farm Road in Schwenksville Borough for ADA curb ramp installation;
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 663 (Layfield Road) between Hoffmansville Road and Hill Road in New Hanover Township for ADA curb ramp installation;
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled at the Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Walnut Street Intersection in Green Lane Borough for ADA curb ramp installation;
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled at the Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) and Godshall Road Intersection in Franconia Township for ADA curb ramp installation;
- Monday, May 22, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 29 (First Avenue/Second Avenue) between Ninth Avenue and Main Street in Collegeville Borough for guiderail repair and line striping;
- Monday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between the Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and the U.S. 202 (Dekalb Street) interchanges in Upper Merion Township for bridge inspection;
- Monday, May 22, through Friday, June 9, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Mclean Station Road and Knight Road in Marlborough Township for storm water management;
- Tuesday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between the U.S. 422 Interchange and King Street in Pottstown Borough for bridge inspection;
- Tuesday, May 23. from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on West High Street between College Drive and Gable Avenue in Pottstown Borough for bridge inspection;
- Wednesday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound Interstate 76 between the Interstate 476 and the Belmont Avenue interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township for bridge inspection; and
- Thursday, May 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound Interstate 76 between the Belmont Avenue and the I-476 interchanges in Lower Merion Township and West Conshohocken Borough for bridge inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
