King of Prussia, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will continue next week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) under a project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning, periodic lane closures will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between 17th Street and Fox Street; and
- Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, from 8:30 PM to 11:30 AM the following morning, periodic lane closures will be in place on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between 17th Street and Fox Street.
During the scheduled operations, PennDOT's contractor will compete diamond grinding and application of a protective coating on the viaduct's new concrete deck.
