PennDOT Reopens Sidewalks of Flemington Bridge to Pedestrians

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced it reopened the sidewalks of the Flemington Bridge along Route 150 near Lock Haven earlier today. Work to preserve this bridge, which spans Bald Eagle Creek in Bald Eagle Township, started in June and will improve the overall condition rating of the structure from fair to good.

Crews will return to the bridge next construction season to complete final paving and apply a high friction surface to enhance safety for motorists crossing the bridge. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control while the contractor completes this work. PennDOT will issue an update before crews return to the bridge.

Two other structures saw work under this contract. One is a Route 150 bridge spanning Chatham Run in Dunnstable Township. The other is a Route 220 bridge spanning Route 2006 and Fishing Creek in Lamar Township. Work on those bridges is complete.

HRI, Inc. of State College, PA, is the contractor for this $3.5 million job.
