Temporary Signals to be Activated at Bridge Replacement Project on Route 772 (W. High Street) in Manheim Borough, Lancaster County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that temporary traffic signals are scheduled to be activated next week at a bridge replacement project on Route 772 (West High Street) in Manheim Borough, Lancaster County. The bridge spans Rife Run between Meadow Lane and South Snyder Street in the borough.

Weather permitting, the signals will be activated on or about Tuesday, July 18. Long-term single lane restrictions will be in place with alternating directions of traffic crossing the bridge. This will allow one side of the bridge to be reconstructed. This pattern is expected to be in place until next spring.

Currently, flaggers are providing traffic control on the bridge during daylight hours. No traffic restrictions are allowed from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM each day and from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Fridays only.

During the final phase of the project, there will be short-term lane restrictions under flagging for final paving and line painting. All work is expected to be completed by August 14, 2024.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

This project consists of the replacement of the bridge, minor approach work and other miscellaneous construction.
