Pavement Rehabilitation Scheduled on U.S. 422 East in Upper Providence, Lower Providence Townships

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that patching operations are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 under a $6.9 million project to rehabilitate pavement between the Route 29/Phoenixville and Route 363/Trooper Road interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this contract, PennDOT will repair existing pavement with accelerated concrete patching; perform bridge deck repair, diamond grinding, and joint sealing; and install reflective pavement markings.

Most construction activities under this project will take place at night during off-peak travel times. Dependent on the operation, there may be some daytime traffic restrictions.

J. D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
