King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge inspections are scheduled on Interstate 76 and I-295 in Philadelphia and Bucks counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-295 between the Business U.S. 1 and U.S. 1 interchanges in Middletown Township, Bucks County.
- Tuesday, June 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-295 between the U.S. 1 and the Business U.S. 1 interchanges in Middletown Township, Bucks County.
- Thursday, June 13, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the I-676 and the University Avenue interchanges.
- Thursday, June 13, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the University Avenue and the I-676 interchanges.
- Thursday, June 13, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on the University Avenue ramp to westbound I-76.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
