Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Engineering District 12, along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the community to participate in the virtual plans display of the North Gallatin Avenue Bridge Project in the City of Uniontown, Fayette County.
The project aims to provide a safe and efficient crossing over Redstone Creek for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The project consists of the superstructure replacement of the existing single-span steel I-beam bridge with a new cast-in-place concrete superstructure. Minor substructure and approach roadway work are anticipated. The existing roadway alignment, profile, and typical section will be matched. Both vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be maintained via detour.
Information on the North Gallatin Avenue Bridge Project over Redstone Creek, including a short overview and an online comment form, is available on the PennDOT website beginning today, Thursday, September 12, through Thursday, September 26.
