Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that paving operations will resume on Route 422 from the Butler County line through Worthington Borough, Armstrong County.
April 7 through the end of May, traffic will be restricted to one-lane on Route 422 both east and westbound from the intersection of Graham/Burke Road in Butler County to the east side of Worthington Borough.
As previously announced, paving will also be occurring at the Route 422/268 interchange area in West Kittanning April 7 through the end of April. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers on Route 268 near the Franklin Village Mall. The ramp from Route 422 westbound to Route 268 will be open, but the traffic will be shifted to the shoulder while work is being performed. Motorists may experience delays. Work is weather dependent and once started should take approximately one week to complete.
Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College, PA will be completing this $15.6 million resurfacing project. The project includes the Route 268-West Kittanning interchange in Armstrong County, between Worthington Borough in Armstrong County and the intersection of Graham/Burke Road in Butler County and at a bridge spanning Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park in Butler County.
