The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) are developing plans to replace the Rockingham bridge that carries T-712 (Whispering Pines Road) over Dark Shade Creek. Representatives from PennDOT will be available answer questions and receive comments about the project at a public meeting at 6 pm tonight (December 16) at Shade Township Municipal Building located at 1221 Number One Road, Cairnbrook, PA 15924.
The project consists of replacing the entire Rockingham Bridge structure, along with guide rail upgrades and roadway approach paving. Traffic will follow a detour during construction that will be announced at a later time.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed projects. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the projects. The comments of all individuals, groups or organizations are welcome. Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in these project areas should attend the meeting.
The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.
