Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to attend an open-house format Public Plans Display to review and provide feedback on the Route 519 Over Branch of Chartiers Run Bridge Project in Chartiers Township, Washington County.
This project will replace the structure that carries Route 519 over Branch of Chartiers Run with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert. Work will also include improvements to the approach roadway leading up to the structure and upgrades to drainage.

The in-person Public Plans Display will be held in an open-house, come-and-go format with no formal presentation. Project team members will be available throughout the event to answer questions and gather feedback. Information will be provided on the proposed improvements, potential impacts, final design plans, traffic control during construction, and the anticipated design and construction schedule.
For those unable to attend in person, meeting materials will be available on PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You section from October 30 through the duration of the project. A comment form will also be available online, with the public comment period open from October 30 through November 13.
The in-person public plans display location complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is accessible to individuals who have disabilities. The project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats if requested.
