King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities are planned next week on state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of travel restrictions on Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, at the following locations:
Bucks County
- Route 213 (Old Lincoln Highway) between Woodbourne Road and Wheeler Way, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Middletown Township for sawcutting.
- Jacksonville Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and Steamboat Drive, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Warminster Township for stormwater drainage replacement.
- Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Swartley Road and Orvilla Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Hilltown Township for paving.
Montgomery County
- Susquehanna Road between Colonial Avenue and Easton Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Abington Township for road striping.
- Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Forty Foot Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Towamencin Township for road striping.
- Church Road between S. Gulph Road and Henderson Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Upper Merion Township for road striping.
- Wynnewood Road between Athens Avenue and Argyle Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Lower Merion Township for road striping.
- Route 463 (Forty Foot Road) between Clemens Road and Koffel Road, a lane closure is scheduled, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Hatfield Township for paving.
- Evergreen Road will be closed and detoured 24/7 between Linfield Road and Lightcap Road in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County. Motorists will be directed to use Rupert Road, High Street, Pleasantview Road, and Linfield Road for stormwater drainage replacement.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
