Public Meeting and Plans Display for Route 2019 (Level Road) Superstructure Replacement Project in Cresson Borough, Cambria County

Hollidaysburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is developing plans for a project to replace the superstructure that carries Route 2019 (Level Road) over U.S. 22 in Cresson Borough, Cambria County. For those interested in learning more about this project, a public plans display is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lily Borough Office Building, 421 Main Street, Lily, PA 15938.

The scope of this project work will include replacement of the existing superstructure with a new superstructure and minor approach roadway paving. Traffic to Level Road will be detoured during construction. Additionally, detours will be in place for U.S. 22 east and westbound during beam settings. Long term lane closures on U.S. 22 east and westbound also be needed to accommodate retrofitting of existing substructure abutments and piers.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed projects. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the projects. The comments of all individuals, groups or organizations are welcome. Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in these project areas should attend the meeting.
