King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on U.S. 422 and other state highways in Montgomery and Chester counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Montgomery County
- Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 7, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Royersford Interchange and the Pawlings Road overpass in Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships for line striping;
- Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 7, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Route 724/Phoenixville and the Santatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township for line striping;
- Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 7, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between the Bucks County line and Route 73 (Church Road) in Montgomery, Horsham, Upper Dublin, Abington, and Cheltenham townships for line striping;
- Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 7, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) between the Bethlehem Pike and the Easton Road interchanges in Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin, Whitemarsh, Springfield, and Cheltenham townships for line striping; and
- Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 14, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Thorndale Drive in Towamencin Township for pipe replacement.
Chester County
- Tuesday, July 11, and Wednesday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both direction on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Lenape Road and Greenwood Road in Kennett Township for bridge inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
