Bridge Construction to Close Pleasant View Road for Several Months in Lower Pottsgrove Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will close Pleasant View Road beginning on Monday, May 19, under a $2.4 million project to replace the bridge that carries the highway over Sanatoga Creek in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this project, PennDOT’s contractor will replace the existing 93-year-old, 50-foot-long, 23-foot-wide, single span, concrete encased, rolled steel I-beam bridge with a slightly larger structure measuring 58.5 feet long and 30 feet wide.

In addition, construction includes approach roadway reconstruction, guiderail and drainage improvements, pavement markings and signage installations, and improvements at the Pleasant View Road and Linfield Road Intersection.

H&K Group, Inc. of King of Prussia, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
