Signals will be deactivated with traffic controlled by flaggers; delays expected
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there may be delays during the day tomorrow, Thursday, July 13, at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.
Utility work planned from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the intersection of Centerville Road and Hempland Road will require a power outage so power lines can be moved. Traffic signals at the intersection will be deactivated.
Flaggers will provide traffic control at the intersection. There may be significant delays. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
