As part of the Shapiro Administration’s commitment to ensuring safer, more accessible facilities for all Pennsylvanians, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Meadville Driver License Center will close for parking lot repairs. The facility, located at 16942 Patricia Drive, Meadville, will be closed from Wednesday, June 4 to Saturday, June 7 so the work can be completed.
The work includes resurfacing the parking lot and facility roadway entrance, repairing the test pad, replacing guiderail, and performing line painting to improve safety and services. The Meadville location will reopen for normal operations Wednesday, June 11.
The Shapiro Administration is committed to serving Pennsylvania residents, modernizing our facilities, and enhancing customer experience,” said PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services Deputy Secretary Kara Templeton. “We appreciate the public’s patience as we make these needed repairs.”
PennDOT’s Meadville employees will be temporarily reassigned to the Seneca Driver License Center at 143 Airport Road, in Seneca. While Meadville is closed, the Seneca Driver License Center will be open five days a week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. Photo services will be available Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
Customers who have a scheduled driving exam at the Meadville location during the closure will be contacted and offered the same exam date and time at the Seneca Driver License Center. For a complete list of driver license and photo center locations and hours of operation, visit www.pa.gov/dmv.
