The Route 3040 (T-427) Section D50 project involves improvements to the crossing of T-427 (St Johns Road) over an unnamed tributary to Nescopeck Creek in Butler Township, Luzerne County. The project's purpose is to replace the existing corrugated metal pipe and concrete headwall/wingwalls. Roadway improvements associated with the project include mill and pave, as well as full-depth pavement reconstruction in the vicinity of the bridge, providing lane and shoulder widths meeting current design criteria. New guide rail and pavement markings will be provided throughout the project limits.
