Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Cherry Hill Road (Route 1002), Belton Road (Route 1004), and Old Furnace Road/Fombell Road (Route 1009) in North Sewickley and Franklin township, Beaver County will begin Monday, June 30 weather permitting.
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through late December in the following locations:
- Cherry Hill Road (Route 1002) – Between Route 351 (River Road) and Brighton Road (Route 1003) in North Sewickley Township
- Belton Road (Route 1004) - Between Townwood Road and Brighton Road (Route 1003) in North Sewickley Township
- Old Furnace Road/Fombell Road (Route 1009) – Between Route 288 (segment 10) and Route 288 (segment 90) in Franklin Township
A five-day closure of Old Furnace Road/Fombell Road will occur on this project. Additional details will be provided in advance of the closure.
The prime contractor is Lindy Paving on this $2.11 million group paving project. Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base repair, pavement marking installation, and other various construction related activities.
