The following educational resources were created by the Patient Advocacy Program within the Office of Drug Surveillance and Misuse Prevention (ODSMP) at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Utilizing direct patient communication through the public-facing Patient Advocacy Program as well as feedback from monthly collaborative calls with community-based overdose prevention stakeholders, several opportunities emerged to create educational resources aimed at improving access to care and advancing overdose prevention efforts. Avoiding stigmatizing language, ensuring accessibility of resources, and translating resources into languages in addition to English were taken into consideration during the development of these resources.
