Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that a water line and sewer line project impacting Route 1003 (Washington Street) in the City of St. Marys in Elk County will begin Thursday, May 29. This work is being completed by the city and is not associated with a PennDOT project.
Starting Thursday, May 29, the contractor will close Washington Street at the Fourth Street intersection and implement a detour using Route 255, Route 1002 (Taft Road), and Route 1003 (Windfall Road). Cars will be allowed to enter Washington Street from the north to Rightmeyer Road, then Lawrence Street. This detour will last from May 29 to early July.
