King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on Route 252 (Bearhill Road) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, August 11.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, August 11, through Thursday, September 4, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound Route 252 (Bearhill Road) will be closed between Maple Avenue and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). During the closure, motorists traveling west on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) will be directed to use Route 29 (Morehall Road) and Swedesford Road. Motorists traveling east on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) will be directed to use Old Lancaster Road, Howellville Road, and Cassatt Road.
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
