Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the culvert on Route 125 in Coal Township, Northumberland County, is open to traffic.
Between Monday, July 14, 2025, and Monday, July 28, 2025, Route 125 was closed between Point Breeze Road (Route 3004) and Bear Valley Road, while the contractor installed a culvert under Route 125. Work on the project included installation of the culvert, paving, guide rail, and line painting.
A detour in place for the closure has been lifted.
Motorists should expect minor delays in the coming weeks on Route 125 as the contractor will use single lane temporary traffic patterns to complete guide rail, sign, and line painting installation.
H&K Group is the primary contractor for this $790,000 culvert installation safety project.
