POSTPONED: In-Person Public Plans Display Announced for Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) in Greene County

Meeting materials and a comment form will be available online for those unable to attend

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to attend an open-house format Public Plans Display to review and provide feedback on the Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) in Waynesburg Borough, Greene County.

The project consists of widening the pavement to accommodate a two-way center left turn lane from Buchanan Avenue to Ely Avenue. Additional work will include drainage improvements, placement of new concrete curb, and roadway resurfacing.

The in-person Public Plans Display will be held in an open-house, come-and-go format with no formal presentation. Project team members will be available throughout the event to answer questions and gather feedback. Information will be provided on the proposed improvements, potential impacts, final design plans, traffic control during construction, and the anticipated design and construction schedule.

For those unable to attend in person, meeting materials will be available on PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You section for the duration of the project. A comment form will also be available online, with the public comment period.

The in-person public plans display location complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.
