Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) announced today that the closure of Jenks Street (Route 4003), in support of the I-80 North Fork Bridge Project, will be extended through summer of 2026.
As discussed in the April 2024 I-80 North Fork Bridge Project public meetings, BPC’s subcontractor, Fay, closed Jenks Street to allow for partial demolition of the I-80 bridges over Jenks Street.
The closure, which began on September 23, 2024, was originally anticipated to end on December 31, 2025. However, due to project scheduling needs, the closure will now remain in effect through summer of 2026. Once a specific date is scheduled to reopen the road, additional information will be released.
PennDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted detour, allow extra travel time, and use caution in work zones for the safety of both drivers and workers.
This project is part of the ongoing PennDOT Major Bridges P3 Program.
